Founding Professionals

We’re creating a new category of work. You could help define it.

Micro-consulting: small, well-scoped pieces of senior expertise. We’re forming the founding group in Finance & Accounting, Strategy, and Marketing ahead of launch.

Corporate-grade work, scoped to 10 hours or less

Fixed fee and deliverables agreed before you say yes

You choose what you take — no open-ended commitments

Built for selectivity — not another freelance gig

Tell us a bit about you

Five quick fields — under a minute.

No employer conflicts, no commitments. If it’s a fit, we’ll follow up with the full application.

Why Consulten exists

Too small to outsource. Too important to ignore.

Every company has critical work that falls through the cracks — a covenant calculation that has to be right, a model driving a real decision, a market they’re about to enter. Too small to justify a consulting firm. Too consequential to guess at.

That work has had nowhere to go. Consulten is building the category that serves it: engagements sized in hours rather than months, scoped and priced before anyone commits.

For you, that means real problems with real stakes — sized to fit the time and commitment you actually have to give.

What makes it different

Human-led, platform-enabled.

What clients are buying is your expertise. The platform exists to clear the way for it — doing the administrative work that makes small engagements viable: scoping, matching, closeout checks.

You own the thinking

The analysis, the expertise, and the final call are yours. AI can assist with research and drafting, under your direction.

The platform handles the overhead

Scoping, matching, funding, and closeout are structured before you’re involved. No pitching, no invoicing, no chasing.

Why that matters to you

It’s what makes a 10-hour engagement worth taking: almost all of the time you spend goes into the work itself.

The Founding Professional Program

Founding Professionals get more than early access.

Joining the founding group carries real, lasting advantages — on every engagement you take, on your profile, and in what the platform becomes.

Space is limited to our first 75 founding professionals

Founding Professional

A designation that travels with you

The Founding Professional mark appears on your profile and on your engagement cards — signalling to clients that you helped establish the standard.

10%

20%

Platform fee, not our standard rate

A reduced 10% platform fee applies across your first 20 engagements — you keep more of every fixed fee you earn.

$2,500¹

Milestone payment eligibility

You may be eligible for a one-time $2,500 payment tied to a liquidity event.

¹ A liquidity event includes a material capital raise or sale of the company. The $2,500 milestone payment is contingent on the occurrence of a qualifying liquidity event and on maintaining an active Founding Professional designation at that time. Full details of the Founding Professional Program — including eligibility, selection criteria, maintenance requirements, and the specific definitions and conditions governing the milestone payment — will be furnished upon a valid request by a vetted potential participating professional.

What happens next

Read by a person — not filed in a queue.

Every submission is read by our founding leadership, and we follow up personally.

01

We review personally

No algorithm screens you out. We read for the substance of your experience, not keyword matches.

02

We follow up directly

If it looks like a fit, we’ll be in touch about the work and your availability — including a call where that’s useful.

03

Then the full application

Only after that do we send the complete application to formalize your profile.

Who this is for

Whether you’re working full-time or setting your own pace.

Some of the professionals joining are senior operators interested in fitting select projects around a full-time role — work that’s structured and bounded enough to stay clear of any employer conflict. Others have stepped back from full-time work and want meaningful, focused projects on their own schedule, without going back to open-ended commitments.

Consulten is built for both.

The work

The kind of engagements you’d take.

Bounded pieces of expert work — the sort a company can’t justify hiring a firm for, but can’t afford to get wrong.
